Gharial Skull Polished 50 cm - Medium
Description
This is a bronze sculpture of a Gharial Crocodile skull. The Gharial is a fish-eating crocodile, native to sandy freshwater river banks in the plains of the Northern Indian subcontinent. Today, its distribution is limited to only 2% of what it used to be. The animal is hunted for medicinal medicine, its habitat is degraded and its prey is decreasing. This sculpture has been designed by Jake Richmond, who is a designer of Sooka Interior. This sculpture is part of Sooka’s Eternity of Remarkable Species collection, where Sooka’s designers capture the astonishing beauty of endangered animals in a static state. Well aware of the direct impact of mankind on the environment, they create respectful alternatives to the authentic vulnerable species, such as the Gharial Crocodile. Just as enchanting but less of an impact.
The skull is highly detailed.
